18 OF 25 DOUBLE HUNGS WINDOWS HAD CROOKED GRIDS. SHUCO DID REPLACE THE SASHES BUT THE INSTALLER WAS ON THE HOOK FOR REINSTALLING THEM. THE REPLACEMENT SASHES HAD BENT FRAMES FROM BEING SHRINK WRAPPED TOO TIGHTLY BUT INSTALLER SHIMMED THE OUT.

I am pleased with my Shuco Corona 4000 windows except in one respect, for which I'm really peeved. I thought I was getting a u factor of .22, since that's what Schuco advertises. Once they were installed, I noticed the stickers indicated a u factor of .29, which is a far cry from .22, the number they love to boast about. Since I live in a condo association, my windows must have grids. Apparently this affected the u factor, but no where it the sales literature or on Schuco's web site has this been noted. Therefore, I now feel I overspent for the windows.

They were very good, but I'm judging only by the final results, as I didn't observe the install.

Windows look nice, and we feel no drafts nor excessive heat near them. The way the seams come together, and the ease of opening and closing the windows reflect high quality. The inline sliders on our large windows are fantastic in their design and operation, and provide a great unobstructed view. The French doors are also very solid doors. From a technical perspective these are excellent windows, and our experience with them find no reason to differ. Schuco's prior exclusive seller in the area cheated many customers, and Schuco did little to help.

Very friendly people provide good customer service. They did offer discounts to customers who were cheated by the aforementioned dealer. The quality of the installation was very good. They were quick to return to correct minor imperfections.

We continue to be impressed with the quality of these triple pane windows. They do a wonderful job of blocking outdoor sounds and and keep our house much warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. We feel that these windows will pay us back with many, many years of comfort.
