Window Comments

Window (double hung) is heavy and may be difficult for some to operate. The security latch device can interfere with the up/down movement of the bottom hung window. The window is of decent quality, however it is considerably overpriced.

Window Grade: 3.0
Install Comments

Installed by NEWPRO of MA

The installation was terrible. It took 3X as long as NEWPRO said it would take. The installers gouged several of the window stills and they only roughed in the interior trim work. I've spent many hours scraping old paint, sanding then chalking trim pieces to restore the casing to a presentable appearance. They initially used soft untreated pine on the below grade casement windows, which they did replace with synthetic trim stock after I complained.

Install Grade: 1.0
Price Information

My advice is to avoid NEWPRO. Although their windows are ok, but their products are overpriced. The company's sales staff uses high-pressure tactics,mis-information and outright lies. Their fuel savings and money back guarantees aren't worth the paper they are printed on. The company has never followed through on them and never will; exact words from a company VP. Worst of all the owners and management have zero integrity. Bottom line don't be a sucker like I was. Spend some time do some research; go look at several brands and take your time on a decision. If the price is only good for that day, tell them to take a hike and take your business elsewhere.
