Well the 5 windows were installed yesterday without any problems. One screen had a small tear in it so we will be getting a new screen. Outside of that, the only thing I could see was that one of the sashes had a tiny bit of "gunk" on the glass. A little elbow grease and some windex took c...

My windows were scheduled to be installed this morning but rain has cancelled things. We were able to reschedule for tomorrow morning, so I will post soon after with a report of how things went.

I forgot about the Centurion and the Geneva lines.

The Ultimate 2000 windows are made for ABC Siding and are based on the Ultramax series.

On paper, the Alside windows look fine. I would really like an additional choice in the $600 - $700 range.

From what I have been able to determine as far as Alside windows are concerned, their model heirarchy is something like this: Excalibur < UltraMax < Ultimate 2000 < Sheffield < Preservation. I went to a web site that has their dealer info on it and I could not see much difference between the Ultimat...

Alside window questions

I am currently looking at two different Alside window models. They are the Ultimate 2000 series and the Preservation series. Both of these series are made exclusively for their respective dealers. I have looked long and hard at the window specs and these are the differences that I have found. Just h...

You might want to post this in the "window questions" forum since this is a "window review" forum. There seem to be several active posters in the Chicago area who should be able to offer some good insight to your situation.

Re: Price...

Both prices seem in-line of what a quality windows should run, however I would consider looking into windows that have the following, so long as you’re in that price range: 1. Triple Glass 2. Krypton Gas 3. Soft-Coat Low E 4. Either Intercept or TPS spacer. 5. Steel re-enforced The above features...
