I was under the impression that the Simonton 9800 was the top of the line series for Simonton. But now I'm told the 6000 (Generations series) is the top. Can someone please set me straight and also let me in on the differences between these two series.

I have read in this very forum that for the most part foam filled sashes are little more than a sales pitch. I am by no means any type of expert. Like you a too am window shopping.

Thank you for you reply. I have been considering the option of Foam Wrap on the window frames when I make my window purchase. I have been told it will assist in ensuring a well insulated install. What's your opinion?

I have a contractor offering me Alside Ultramaxx windows with Super Spacers, Clima Tech Plus & 2 = Low E Squared and Argon Gas. Are all these options available in an Ultramaxx window from Alside?
