Re: Getting angry

I ordered Schuco's Corona 4000 triple from Nuview in the early spring and had a tentative install date of June 12. It rained in the early morning and they cancelled. They did not call me. I had to call them and get that stupid answering machine so I left a message expecting someone to call me back....

Unfortunately in our case, it seems that a once good company has suddenly fallen apart, and the people and places we checked with didn't have the updated information. I guess it didn't even occur to us that a professional and dealer of a good manufacturer would do such a sloppy job and that we shoul...

I would add very much buyer beware and do your due diligence. I learned today of another customer who is having trouble getting their deposit back after many months of NuView "not" placing their order and clearly being in breach of contract. So there is trouble also with getting back one's...

Wow, we’ve had the total opposite experience with our NuView installation! Our project was supposed to be finished in September 2005, and now it is June 2006, and the job is still not complete, and customer service is a joke, and the workmanship is a disaster – look at these photos, as an exampl...

Lessons learned :)

Hey nmmmm, Sounds like your installers/measurers at NuView were not up to par. Do you remember their names, so I can make sure I don't get those guys? Thanks To be honest, I don't recall the installers names - they were both nice and polite, but of course that's not the point when the finished prod...

Update - not done yet!!!!!!!!

I promised an update on the Schuco windows we ordered waaaay back last year. NuView started installation on January 5th. There were some problems with our window frames apparently being inset into the wall (the wall was built around the frame in other words.) So it was a big thrash for the installat...

When they do get delivered and installed please post back to let us know how you like them. We have scheduled installation for the first week of January (the dealer was able to install next week, but it is bad timing for us now as we have holiday parties, etc. that we are hosting, and we need an el...

I don't know if they had the windows in or not... It would be interesting to know... This is the fir...

Frustrated and Furious about Schuco (in Northern VA)...

Our windows/doors should have been intalled in mid September and now it is nearly mid-December! So warning to any people purchasing Schuco - no idea if it is the installer (NuView) or the manufacturer (Schuco), but we paid our deposit four months ago on the understanding the windows would have been ...

Yes, the "say anything" company

My regional Schuco rep says Long Fence was never a Schuco dealer. I wondered about that... What a load of codswallop this company/their represenatatives spout in order to get, bully into, keep a sale! Well it backfired with us. They wanted to win business in our area (which is older and many homes ...

"that" company calls again - they badmouth our cho

Today, the original company (the one we cancelled) sales man called - he had left a remodelling magazine with us and that was his "reason" for calling to see if we had mailed it back yet. He "casually" asked how our window search was going and I told him we had decided on the Sch...

on grief...

I hope that I'm not being too pushy myself here by talking about this, but I would like to add on the subject of grief that one of the most helpful things I was told, was that how long I grieved was NOT a reflection of how much I loved... That really gave me "permission" to not feel guilty...

Just glad the sales part is over <grin>

Yes Guy, it was quite an ordeal -- I had NOT in my wildest dreams imagined there were such sales tactics/experiences in this day and age. You can be sure that all my friends, family and fellow forum members will be hearing about our first window sales experience as a warning! I still cannot imagine ...

We selected Schuco and NuView for the project.

After hemming and hawing and getting more (and more informed - thanks to this forum) quotes we are very pleased to have selected Schuco windows and NuView as the contractor for the job. Plus we'll likely be using them for some other minor projects such as our front door and garage. We'll have the wi...
