champion has a bad track record as far as the install are concerned price seems high to me. what series on the soft lite? Explain to me why you say that ? We do test some units that have been in the field and they seem to be in the same range as what we see in the factory. but 1% would be a fair guess on what is lost in units. It is very hard to test units in the field because the test involve light readings when the unit sparks the glass. If they are...

At our plant we test units to make sure they are at 95% or more argon and we have units that have been filled with argon for 6 to 7 years now that still test at 92 to 94% argon after all these years.

It really depends on what type of window it is. If its a replacement window pull the frames If its a a flush fin mount type window then you keep the old frame in. If you keep the old frame in then you will have to have a smaller window to put back in. Also by keeping the old frame in it will be harder to cover the frame and there is also a risk of leaking.
