Seen a lot of different installs, I did know a guy who would hammer on the lower drip flanges..If ya don't carry a cutter, then you have to bang on those..which will still break the moisture barrier..which most don't recommend it seems...but its a serious hack who is hammering down the old aluminum ...

Hello, Don't mean to make excuses for an estimator, but defintely you should do some research before you meet one. Its always good to have some background..try NFRC, etc. and pick one that you like. Installation is almost as important as the windows that you pick. AAMA certified is the way to go. BU...
