Windows being installed Friday-what to look for?

I have really enjoyed reading this site for the last couple of months. I read a lot here and had demos done and went with Window World. My windows are being installed Friday. Does anyone know of an energy tax credit if you replace your windows? If so, how much do you get back?

Thanks!

I absolutely won't follow them around-I just wanted to sound like I know what I am talking about when they arrive. I apologize in advance because I am sure this is a dumb question, but when you refer to properly insulated AND air sealed-are you referring to making sure the windows are caulked proper...

I can use the courtesy checks my cre...

What to watch for during window installation

I have ordered my windows and it will be about 3-4 weeks before I can get them installed. I am going to take the day off from work when they come to do the job. What should I look for during the installation? I think if I seem somewhat knowledgeable on what is supposed to be done then they will take...

Wow-this thread really took off......Tomorrow is my last day to cancel, so does anybody have an opinion if I should look for a different window for around the same price? Or is Window World ok? Again-I can't afford to put $15k in windows in my house, I am getting 10 DH, low-e/argon, w/grids, a pictu...
