I had 10 windows installed by a SUB PAR contractor even though the windows were good windows (Camelot windows). I still had three windows left when I fired the idiots and went with http://www.allcountyexteriors.com/ who also did my roofing and siding. These guys are awesome and very customer oriente...

An Estimate on the Camelot Windows? If so, where is your installer located? Do they have a website? What is there name? The only othe...

Softlite here I come!

Well, I had 10 new windows installed (Camelot by North east Building products) and while the windows are great, the installers were not good and I actually fired them before they finished the interior moulding. With that, they were the only installers for these windows in Central NJ. I need 3 more w...

To Caulk or not to caulk?

Just had 10 windows installed and while the windows are great, the installation nightmare was almost too much. The replacement windows with nailing fin were installed like new construction. They nailed them up and used some type of foil tape over the nailing fin and to the tar paper on the w...

The windows are being installed today (installation is another issue LOL ) Couple of them are installed and they are really really nice windows. I am happy with my choice of product. In fact, the contractor measured wrong on 5 windows and of course the installers took all my windows out before check...

Sashlite ?

What does everyone think about this new technology? http://www.sashlite.com/

Found out the frames are made by Chelsea Group (extrusion people) and from what it looks like, nothing but good stuff with the window manufacturing process. I have compared the Trustgard to Simonton and the Trusgard wins by looks and the construction of each is comparable as far as I can tell. The T...

Bill The old windows (Aluminum) are completely (frames, sills everything) coming out and the new windows are to be installed with a nailing flange. On the surface it seems a new construction window would be installed but everyone still says replacement. I am not concerned about interior molding sinc...

Window Depth?

Re: Permits to Install??

The salesmen put in the contract "No Permits" and requested that I initial this note on the contract. He indicated that some cities require permits and some cities do not. He cited the fact that Huntington Beach, "a larger city", does not require it but some smaller cities do. H...

Any experience with Camelot Windows from...nbpcorporation

Hi Does anyone have any comments on the windows from North East Building products in Philadelphia Pennsylvania? The line is called Camelot and the model I got quoted on is the Trustgard. Options in the quote are: Low E/Argon Grids (contoured) foam filled frames nailing fin (such as new construction)...
