A clearer photo of the gold label may help also. Kind of dark to the right of the gold label.

Re: IRS Form 5695 for 2009 $1,500 Tax Credit Replacement Windows
This one of my postings a good while ago on another forum: I am relatively new to this forum and was reading about your thoughts on the stimulus plan - specifically window and door costs vs tax credit. I began to get a little confused/concerned. I agree with Tru Blue on that the .30/.30 is not the b...

Re: How to handle 4 adjoining double hungs
Plygem probably runs their jamb boards the height of the finished bay/bow, which will give you the other 2" in width. Most bay/bows that I have seen, the jamb boards run between the head and seat board.
Not sure if there is a drawback to doing it either way.

Re: How to handle 4 adjoining double hungs
Gorell will make a bow to about 144" in width. I think they limit the bay to about 128" in width. Not positive.

Re: How to handle 4 adjoining double hungs
I like the flanker hungs and the larger fixed lite idea.
I don't know if a Manufacturer will produce a slider of that size. Also, most Manufacturers limit there 5/4 plywood to 144" in length.

2011 Federal tax credit
Does anyone know exactly what the new tax credit is concerning windows and doors? Window and door magazine states all Energy Star qualified. NFRC stated Energy Star or IECC.
Any feedback would be a help

Re: Gorell windows
Maybe the question should be asked of the manufacturers that say edge deletion is not a necessary step - do they use soft or hard coat low e?

Re: Gorell windows
Another note. Depending on the type if IG spacer and sealant used, it is very important that the the low e is 'edge deleted'. If the low e is exposed to moisture, the metallic nature of the coating will begin to oxidize, contributing to glass failure.

Check Gorell's web site.
Although it is written by their marketing department, it explains what is required to achieve this award.
