8 Triple pane for $700 each is reasonable. Add in the utility company rebate plus the attic sealing and it sounds overall like a pretty decent deal as long as the rebates are as he said.

Amerimax is not available here in Virginia but over the years, Amerimax has been a recommended window among many of the pros on the west coast who have posted here.

Different strokes for different folks. If you want an average performing window that feels "Beefy" then take a look at Simonton Reflections 5500, Alside Ultra-max or Alside Sheffield. Most of our customers want a window with as much glass as possible. Sunrise is able to get better overall ...

I doubt you would have difficulty getting Gorell Windows during the transfer. Softlite would lose too many Gorell dealers if they let that happen.

I would do that as long as you realize it will also reduce heat gain in the winter. OTOH it will keep the heat in better in winter also.

Generally, because it's usually not that much more to get a better quality window. When you consider a window is something you should never have to replace as long as you get a good quality product, why wouldn't you want to invest in the best product you could buy? I think you have made the best decision for your circumstances. The Wincore 7700's are pretty decent windows and a nice value. You could have done a whole lot worse.
