How do you guys figure on what's quality and what's not? I'm sure all these windows are much better than builder grade windows? Even builder grade seems to last in homes for many years, so I'm just curious on how to judge quality?

The Plygem premium series would be better than any of the series/brands mentioned. That's what I've found to be true as well, but wanted to speak with all you knowledgable guys. As a contractor, i would never use any of those mentioned unless its the Polaris Ultra. Look for a sunrise, soft lite, gorell, or Okna / HiMark dealer. All high quality windows. Don't know if this makes a difference for selection, but it's a stone home which currently has 1962 aluminum windows.
