The Polaris Ultras are ordered along with top prarie grids. Windows are manufactured in Ohio. Warranty will cover defective windows and local dealer provides labor free of charge. I feel good about this purchase! This forum was so helpful, thanks again!!

I have to replace two small windows now, bath and laundry in the back of house. The rest can wait until we're ready to side. I saw the Polaris Ultra and and Seaway Signature today. Cost of both about the same and dealer's preference is the Seaway, hard decision.

We have wood casement windows, several years ago I was told I wouldn't be happy with vinyl windows, I think I was told because they sweat, is this still the case. Also, need to replace windows now and plan to replace aluminum siding in a few years. Should both be done at same time or doesn't it matt...

Thanks guys! Read another post from Akron, OH. The same dealer that sells Seaway also sells Polaris. Read good reviews about the Ultra.

I live in Ashtabula not far from Akron or Austintown. A local dealer offers Seaway manufactured in Erie, Pa. and Polaris. The Polaris sounds promising, is the Ultra their best vinyl replacement? Looking for mid-range, did you get any quotes?

Thank you, this was very helpful. In my small town, we have Pella thru Lowes, Andersen thru Home Depot, and Vista thru a local dealer. Not seeing very positive reviews for vinyl replacements with Pella or Andersen.

Looking to replace windows - a little confused. Is a single hung window better than a double hung. The double hung windows are really nice for cleaning.
