Re: Best Basement Windows?

I went ahead and chose the Okna 520 dx sliders (2-lite). They are double-paned, foam insulated, argon, and no grid inbetween the panes. Total is about $1700 for two 45x45 and one 30x17.

I appreciate all the help.

Re: Best Basement Windows?

Any reason to put in double hung windows in the basement? The windows are behind blackout shades almost all the time. I have had them price sliders so far.

Re: Best Basement Windows?

The local Okna dealer/installer quoted $1700 for their 520 Dx windows. Quite a bit cheaper than Pella.

Re: Best Basement Windows?

Pella was $2400 for three 350 series sliders. One of the windows is pretty small. The other two are larger. This was for triple pane.

I have an Okna dealer/installer coming soon also for an estimate. Same with Simonton.

Best Basement Windows?

I am replacing three windows in a finished basement (Indiana). So far, I have received a quote for the 350 series by Pella. What other brands should I check into? We have Simonton windows on the main floor and have had seal issues (although all have been repaired no charge and with relative ease). I...
