PVC windows. Wood has to be repainted often. 
Despite, I love wood.
I don't know the models. I just went to their showrooms.
Windows has to me energy efficient and sound reducing (keeping noises out)
The best windows for that I am looking for are German Tilt 'n Turn. But way out of my price range.

After hours of reading I know now to avoid the big box stores windows. But I could not figure out which windows are the right ones.
