Re: Replacement Window Help
That is correct as it pertains to casements. Softlite only makes one casement that they offer it with various weatherstripping profiles depending upon which line you are looking at. When you get to double hungs and sliders, there is a substantial structural difference that is not necessarily reflec...

Re: Replacement Window Help
Better. Personally, I'd go no less than the Imperial LS/Elements, but the Pro is about the best choice that you will find that is readily available from supply houses. Why do you recommend the Imperial/Elements over the Pro? I spoke with the area rep for Soft-Lite and was told there is no visible d...

Re: Replacement Window Help
Thanks for all the help! Any experience with the painted windows from Okna? I need a taupe exterior with white interior and was told the only way to achieve this was by Okna painting the exterior. I don't know how much I believe that they will not fade or need repainting. Any thoughts?

Re: Replacement Window Help
I Spoke with John from Windows on Washington today and he quoted roughly 14k for Okna. Does that sound like a fair price and how is the Okna going to compare to my other options?

Re: Replacement Window Help
No special options, just casements with brown exterior and white interior. I quoted the Simonton reflections 5500, Marvin Integrity and I forgot what model the Gorell was. The Marvin quote come in at 17k including a 6' patio door. I contacted Okna but was told there is no dealer in my area. The terr...

Replacement Window Help
First time posting here, so hopefully I can get some expert recommendations. I need to replace all of my casement windows in a 1978 brick ranch. I'm located in SW Virginia and I have prices all over the board, 11k for BF Rich to 36K for Gorell, with Simonton and Marvin in the middle. To be honest, I...
