Absolutely correct...nailing fin installation is the recommended method. Do need to ask where you live and what kind of windows you have currently. That may also determine what is best for your application. That "50 year sealant" is only going to last 50 years if you leave it in the tube! ...

Denver is a strange market...extreme weather, but not so much in the way of stringent codes for the energy efficiency of the windows. Having sold windows in that market "in a previous life", my experience tells me to use vinyl or fiberglass rather than wood simply due to the weather issues...

Install the windows before the siding is replaced. Pay close attention as to how the building wrap/vapor barrier/felt intersect with the window flashing. All must work together for success and no leaks. As for the argon issue - depends where the windows are manufactured and where they end up. If pro...

Yikes - you'll likely void the warranty. Vinyl expands and contracts with the hot/cold weather - they don't put a lot of expanders in paint to get it to adhere to a moving surface.
Same reason you don't see dark colored vinyl fencing and why dark vinyl siding looks worn after just a few years.
Sorry!

Your noise issue - what kind of noise? Depending on whether it is low frequency or high frequency, the glazing you mentioned may or may not give you the results you are looking for. As far as the ratings go - there is a world of difference between an R-15 (residential rating) and a C-35, C-30 and LC...

You can get superspaceer in Milgard vinyl products in Oregon. Apparently it is not available in the Ultra line.
Marvin Infinity is too new out here to know much - other than it is a copy of the Ultra product. Limited grid options.

Contractors can't afford bad publicity like this. The Andersen retractable screen is JUNK. I've seen it, operated it, wouldn't take it if it were free! Cheap - Cheap - Cheap. Watch the terminology on some of the brands mentioned - many of them are a pine product (the softest, hardest to stain) "shielded" by some other material that will h...
