Yikes - you'll likely void the warranty. Vinyl expands and contracts with the hot/cold weather - they don't put a lot of expanders in paint to get it to adhere to a moving surface.
Same reason you don't see dark colored vinyl fencing and why dark vinyl siding looks worn after just a few years.

vinyl or aluminum? If it is the same company I know of, they have had some serious financial troubles - but are rebuilding. Low end product - cumbersome.
