Discussion Board Forum for Vinyl Windows

I need to replace an old double pane fiberglass window at home. It is located in my living room and gets a lot of sun. I've contacted a local provider and was told that fiberglass would be able to stand high summer temperatures. Should I go for that or just get a vinyl type of window?
