round and round we go my fav is the force then simonton with ss one inch By comparison the force shines for little more $$$$ triple pane, tps, A+ inside bead, strong.

What is structural upgrade? What would structural upgrade cost and would it be advised on a lami upgrade? It seems prism material is getting softer noticing mainframe header and sash rail deflection on recent installs.

I have been sent to repair Simonton failed glass units. The bottom profile had filled with water and attacked the glass seal at the bottom due to deflection in profile allowing water to pool up and not go out the weeps. Downside to all is intercept spacer. I prefer Simonton Prism platinum with one inch super spacer; stronger stepped sill design and should be in same price range.

I would expend the energy to replace the frame. You will only stare at this if you repair it and when you go to sell an inspection would probally cost you again.
