Re: Marvin Infinity vs Simonton Prism
Yesterday I met a guy at a home show that had Marvin Infinity installed 2 years ago and had to put plastic on them this winter. He said the air was just blowing in. I told him to contact the contractor that put them in. For the amount he spent he should not have to put plastic on them....

Re: EPA requirements on window installations???
4-weeks ago I was at one of my local supply houses in Delaware. Since they are the largest Certinteed dealer in the area and the fact that they are 1-mile over the bridge from NJ (Delaware has no sales tax), they get a ton of window and siding business from all of the local contractors. No one that...

Re: EPA requirements on window installations???
EPA said today that if you filed your application before April 22 it will be reviewed by June. If you have taken the class and applied before April 22 EPA will not take action against you. If you haven't you could be fined. 90 days looks like the norm after filing your application. If you haven't i...

Re: Alside Excalibur Windows
I'm in Colorado and I have just completed searching for windows and I signed a contract last week for Vanguard by Sunrise windows. The first window I looked at was the Excalibur. I thought it was OK, but after searching this board and listening to the pros, I quickly found out it is not a good choi...

Re: Ply Gem Premium Great Lakes Uniframe are they the same
I would run from the Uniframe line because they are going to discontinue it soon. PlyGem will be the brand. Decent window. If you live in New York make sure you get the best glass package available. The Uniframe is Great Lakes top of the line window. Its your best choice. They are not discontinuing...
