I am a first-time homeowner who recently purchased a tudor home built in 1935. So I'm broke The home has the original french style steel casement windows, built right into the masonry and with marble sills. (Please forgive me for not using the correct window jargon). The windows are in HORRIBLE shape and need to be replaced, but I can only afford to replace these windows about two at a time. That said, I also want to maintain the architectural look of the home. Any suggestions on who manufactures a window that would be an appropriate look and NOT break my meager piggy bank? I live in southern Michigan and my neighbor said I could expect to pay upwards of $1000 per window. I cried.
Thank you!
