Ply Gem Buys Alcoa Home Exteriors

On September 25, 2006, Alcoa Inc. announced that a definitive agreement had been signed to sell Alcoa Home Exteriors to Ply Gem Industries, Inc., a U.S. manufacturer and marketer of a range of products for use in residential new construction, do-it-yourself and the professional renovation market. It is expected that this transaction will be completed in the next several weeks.
