Those prices look like they are FULL MSRP... You should be able to get 25% discount from a distributor..
There are three grades in the Profinish line: Builder, Contractor and Master I believe.
You could get the better 5500 Reflections for that price!
As for Installation the prices look ok if the installer is GOOD!

To have GOOD WINDOWS = 40/60:
40% Windows
60% Installation
As you can see Installation weighs more than the product itself!

I believe these are the contractor grade. The reason these were picked over the reflections 5500 is because the driftwood color looks much better with my house. I asked about how these would compare to the 5500 windows and was told they are basically the same windows.

They are not basically the 5500 not even close; it’s more like the 50/50 but the 50/50 is still a little better with a slightly heavier main frame and the heavy duty ¾” constant force balance system. The ProFinish has a ½ coil balancer. The ProFinish and the 50/50 share the same sash.

Well what other brands/lines of windows are comparable to the Simonton reflection 5500s? I'm going to walk away from this whole deal because the more research I do the more I realize I'm being taken for a ride.

I really like the color of these windows over the lighter tan color of the 5500s since don't really match the brick or siding on my house.

What do most people with 30 year old bronze aluminum windows use for replacement windows? For reference all of my brick, siding, roofing, trim, sofit, doors, etc. are all fairly dark brown.

Here is a pic ...

White would look ok IMO... and makes it look a little brighter/larger.
Bronze and Dark colors are colors of 20-30 years ago.
White will also make the windows stand out.

I'm leaning towards beige now. My front door is already beige and if I went with beige windows I would probably paint my garage door beige too.
