Simonton Prism Bronze vs. Reliabilt Survivor 5600

#1 Post by DerbyDad03 »

New member here....browsed around and was impressed by what I saw.

Lowe's is running a special on the Reliabilt Survivor 5600 series - free Low-E and Argon.

I've also got a contact at a local Norandex/Reynolds dealer who suggested the Simonton Prism Bronze series.

With all other features being equal (grids, screens, etc) and the prices within a few dollars of each other, which window would be my best choice?

They're going in a basic colonial in western NY where I plan to live for 5 - 6 more years. I'll be doing the installs myself.

Thanks!

I see how much more it would cost to upgrade to the Simonton 5500 or 9800. Both windows you mentioned are low end and may end up in a landfill in 10 or 15 years IMO.
