How to search NFRC

#1 Post by bostonnoleg »

How does a person search for a specific window on the NFRC web site http://nfrc.org/ when it asks for a Series/Model Number and/or Product Line but the manufacturer's name for the window does not coincide with anything listed? And there is nothing on the manufacturer's web site that has any model numbers that relate.

For example what do you chose when you are looking for information on the Alside Excalibur?

Choices are:
Series/Model Number - Product Line
0301 Tilt Double Hung - ALS-A-23
0401/04S1/2000 Double Hung - ALS-A-18
0501/6000 Double Hung - ALS-A-47
0601/B601/U601/6000 Double Hung - ALS-A-38
0901/1000 Double Hung - ALS-A-36
590 Double Hung - ALS-M-51
8001/P601 Double Hung - ALS-A-29 [/b]

The Excalibur is an 0201. Other than that, you really need the model number from the window you are looking at or just look at the NFRC sticker on it.

It is a confusing list...I know.
