7 D Industries is the manufacturer, like Simonton is a manufacturer, they are located in PA, they also make patio doors. This is my first home, I am learning as I go here. I have odd sizes

A local company here in Birmingham gave me qoutes, no issues with the BBB and there is a ServicePro service here that rates these types of business', and the two local contractors check out with both.

Simonton 5050 is their bottom end window.

The Sears window is basically the 5500 so don't waste your money on the Sears product when the 5500 is effectively the same window.

7D, I can't say I know them. Ask them who makes their product and get NFRC numbers...not quoted from the salesman.

I heard these 7D may be made here in PA by Dove Windows in Wilkes-Barre. We all know how well a Dove Window is built and performs <Sarcasm Off.>

Btw----Simonton 5500 series can't go wrong. Very good window.
