How does Soft-Lite Imperial LS or Element compare to Simonton 5500 and is anyone familiar with Thermal Industries 530 window?

Softlite and Simonton are both excellent brands and both are highly recommended by the Pros on here. Softlite has a slightly better U-factor and air infiltration ratings than the Simonton but either would be a good choice. The key is to get a very good install. Not familiar enough with the TI to comment but generally TI windows aren't considered among the better grades with the exception of the Park Avenue.

In my area, people charge and arm and a leg for the TI window. It does not compare very favorably to either of the the other two. They are your better options.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt the park ave just a 530 with some bells and whistles and a wildly inflated price? I think its an "okay" product but not for the price that they ask around here.

Softlite is the better choice IMO. TI PA is an average window
