No, they found out several years ago that sawdust didn't weld well and went to butt joints.

Yes, mechanically fastened. You can not weld fiberglass either.

i wonder if Anderson uses "saw dust" combined with pvc so it expands and contracts LESS than all cellular pvc? because if a saw dust/pvc mixture still expands and contracts the same as pvc,the mechanical fasteners are prone to air infiltration.

They are glued and screwed if I am not mistaken.

I was in the factory, when I saw the window I was not impressed. At that time two years ago They were making the WDH in the same building. We saw the WDHI before mass release and had to sign a conf. agreement. Saw alot of neat stuff and was exhausted by the end of 2.5 days of factory tours.
