One cannot say an exact percentage more for Starmark simply because all companies have different amounts of overhead to cover. Installation is a huge factor to consider as well. Our labor is more than some companies that use sub-contractors because we have full-time hourly employees with FULL benefits. A company that has hourly employees tend to be a little higher in price but the quality control is much hgher also. A local WW dealer here has OVER 50% of service issues due to shoddy workmanship we have 0% service related to workmanship.

Any homeowner purchasing windows Today MUST do three things.

1. Condsider the QUALITY of the product your looking at.
2. Consider the PERFORMANCE of the product. Must Verify U-factors and SHGC on NFRC.org to make sure they are accurate with what salesman told you they were. Example; last two days I was in two particular homes giving quotes and found out what brand and models they were selling, to the homeowners surprise on either occasion were they what the homeowner was TOLD by the salesman. I personally SHOWED them ours AND there U-factors and SHGC on NFRC. Customer was mislead. WHY?? Commisioned salesman trying to make the sale?
3. Consider the INSTALLATION. A window, reguardless of the quality is only as good as the installation. A company that has hourly employees vs. subs tend to have a better installation for the most part. I am NOT saying there are not any good subs out there because they would be a lie, you just have to be real CAREFULL Who is installing your new windows.

Hope this helps a little bit. Just trying to give back to this board because it helps us understand homeowners more and keep the competition HONEST. Sometimes that a full time job right there.

Is this how much more YOUR company charges?

Installation charges should be almost the same if you install a $200 window or a $800 window. okna windows generally run about $75 to $100 less then Starmark with the same package.
