Help with Soft-lite quote

#1 Post by mkadrova »

I just received a quote for Soft-lite Elements and would appreaciate some advice on the price (seems really high to me):

15 windows & 2 Doorwalls (includes 6% tax): $21,230 (Double Pane), $28,618 (Triple Pane). To add a grid was around $4K more to either quote.

The breakdown is as follows:
8 casement - $9,195 (Double Pane), $12,649 (Triple Pane)
24x59, 24x59, 17x79, 17x79, 32x63, 32x63, 24x36, 24x36
1 Fixed - $1,185 (Double Pane), $1,619 (Triple Pane)
48x59
8 Sliders - $5,658 (Double Pane), $7,303 (Triple Pane)
48x59, 48x36, 60x48, 48x36, 48x36, 48x36
6
2 6ft Doorwalls - $5,165 (Double Pane), $7,047 (Triple Pane)

Any advice on this quote would be greatly appreaciated. I really like the product and the installer has a lot of references, however it seems pretty high. This also includes a 27% discount on "list" price according to the salesman (which by the way was really nice, no pressure, lots of information).

Thanks in advance for the replies.
