Pricing Strategies

#1 Post by leftontheinside »

Sorry for all the posts...

Most folks have given a price point based on type of window. For example similar sized double hungs would be the same price.

One guy's pricing it based on UI (united inches). So I have some windows that are 79 UI and some that are 82 UI. There is a $50 difference these two windows because there is a price increase at 80 UI. Is this a scam or is it really priced that way from the MFG?

Pricing for most manufacturers is based on U.I. categories as you have described.

It can vary, but he's likely telling the truth. Some guys like a 0-101 price, others go in increments.

$50 is alot between those two sized, especially under 101 united inches.I would probally look at the whole bid instead of getting caught up in his size pricing.
