A note about Jeld Wen

Today in the small eastern Oregon town of Klamath Falls residents are paying their respects to Richard WENdt (the WEN in jeld wen) who passed away from complications of a stroke at age 79.

Sent by his father in 1956 to try and salvage a wood sash company in Bend Oregon (Caradco) he stayed and created his own private company which today has over $2 billion in sales with 150 divisions and 60 plants in 20 foreign countries with over 20,000 employees.
