Just had one of those nice presenations. We need new windows. 7 to be exact. The company is statewide windows. Of course after all the discounts our bid is 8652. Is this a good deal? The product seems very good. I have till Feb 1 to change my mind.

Tough to tell without more information. Sizes? Window Type? Uniframe are a decent window and are on the upper end price wise.

I would have been around $4000 lower with Schuco 4000's with the triple glazing and woodgrain options.
$5000 lower with some of my other brands.
I hope that puts some perspective on it for you.

How do regional prices vary? I stopped by lowes, their price was around $2600 but the guy had no idea what the hell he was selling. I guess as far as quality are great lakes good windows? Compared to what I saw at home depot and lowes they seem very superior.

Yes, they are superior to what you saw on the racks at the big box stores. They fit into the category of an upper end vinyl window.
Even calculating in for regional price differences, I think you quote is pretty high. It's your home and your decision though.

Statewide is a franchise, Uniframe is a good window. The selling price seems awfully high. Even in the Boston market that I work in that is considered one of the most expensive.
I would call them back to offer $4,000. They won't take it, but let them come back and settle for a price around $5,000.
If they won't come down to that number then keep looking.
