Replacement Windows - HOA Restrictions

#1 Post by Wanda »

We have to have beige on the outside and would want white on the inside due to HOA restrictions. Is this possible with vinyl as we think makes sense in long run for maintenance, etc. We want energy efficient of course. Will not need the outside trim frame or new screens. HOA takes care of painting the outside which has to remain wood. Suggestions on windows and possible price ranges, please. We have 2 window sets which consist of an approximately 3 x5 single/picture type windows with a side window on each side that is probably about 18" wide. Then we have 3 approx. 30 " wide x 50" tall windows. Thanks for any help or info. Located in central NC.

Most window manufacturers offer two tone windows. They range from extruded vinyl with tan on the exterior and white interior which limit you to one shade of tan to a foil laminate which offers more exterior colors, to a painted exterior which can actually be color matched to a particular color such as the Sherwin Williams Paint line.

I'd see if you can find a Softlite Dealer as they offer a nice combination of colors and a very high quality window.

Soft-lite, Sunrise or Okna.
Also ask the HOA if they have any recomendations that meet the color specs.
