Simonton 5500 Quote in Central PA

#1 Post by devlon PA » Fri Feb 03, 2006 11:07 am

I live in central PA and just got a quote yesterday on 19 Simonton 5500 DH and 1 slider picture window. The local installer told me as long as the windows measure under 100 liner ft. it doesn't matter the exact dimmension of the widows, they would be the same price. Mine are 36 x60 and the picture is 28.5x27. Anyways he quoted me for all the windows with capping on the outside $7000 this includes the removal of all the old windows. I thought it seamed very reasonable. any thoughts.

That is a really good price for 19 Shuco windows which I figure out to be approx. $370 average cost installed. Wish I could get that price here on the west coast of florida.Let us know how the install goes.

That is a very good price, if the installation is well done. You should get the contractor to quote you with the optional Super Spacer and reinforced meeting rail. Should be around $30.00 per window total in extras. This will give you a very good window overall.
