hello, recently asked a question, but got no response, so ill ask again. had a chance to handle a slocomb windstopper window. had a u rating of 22, with only double pane/ argon filled. seems like a well built window. sloping sill, triple seals, and a neat combination lock/sash unlock system. does anyone have any insight, or info they could share with me about this window. have narrowed my search down to sunrise and this slocomb model. by the way, slocomb recently merged with pace windows of upstate new york. anybody out there that can help? thanks

I'm sure its because no one may have heard of Slocomb.
I looked on their website and I wasn't too impressed. There windblock (the only one that came close to the windstopper name), looks boxy and generic with "stuffed" insulation (it was pink under the 144 series). The head of the window where the sash would sit seems very shallow.
All this is off a quick glance off there website, but I would keep looking.

Sunrise is one of the top brands out there and a favorite of all the pro's on this site.

There are some Pro's on here who use them.
I believe they are good windows. I don't know anything about their series. I'm sure someone can/will chime in about sunrise.

Sunrise Vanguard is a premium vinyl product as is Okna 800 and Soft-lite LS. The thermal performance, strutural numbers, and warranty are the best on any of these.
