Thermal Industries vs Soft Light vs Sunrise

#1 Post by vcoachband »

Have these three quoting me prices.

20 windows, 8 are slightly larger than standard. All White, half sceens, no grids, double hung replacement - mid to uper level lines of windows

TI coming in at 8669
Soft coming in around 8540
Sun, not finished with quote.

TI has a better U factor and Solar Heat Gain than Soft Light. Sunrise meeting tomorrow.

Any advice? All give lifetime warranties and glass break. All installers have A+ from BBB

I'd look more closely and make sure that you are comparing apples to apples in terms of glass packages. What I can say without hesitation, is that any line from Softlite, when compared to an equivalent line, will be significantly superior to TI in thermal performance. In addition, take a look at the structural ratings which won't even be close. On top of all that, the Softlite offers a welded, sloped sill which does not drain any water through the frame... Sunrise is a comparable product, TI is not.

+1

Both the Sunrise and Soft-Lite offerings (provided they are the upper lines) should be far superior.

For larger windows, Soft-lite offers a stouter frame than Sunrise, particularly the Imperial LS or Elements lines.
