Rotted Sills

#1 Post by jbrandwein »

Hello all,

I was wondering what a fair price should be to replace rotted sills when replacing windows. A few were priced into the job, but there probably will be a lot more needed to be replaced. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jeff

Depends on the size and details.

We see prices between $50 - 95 per full sill replacement.

some companies automatically include a few sill repairs. that said, it can be somewhat time consuming and an addtional cost of material is involved. i concur with Windows on Washington regarding the price range.

+2. I'd only add that the vast majority of the time, only the sill nose (outermost 1 1/2" or so) needs to be replaced. The structural sill of the window is typically in good shape.
