Prairie style vinyl window recommendation (new construction)
Prairie style vinyl window recommendation (new construction)
I am in the process of building a Frank Lloyd Wright style house. Counting the detached garage and house windows we will have around 70 windows.
Please provide recommendations for a solid window that won't break the budget.
I live in Oklahoma so the temperatures run between -5 to 110+ F.
Thank you for your time and expertise.

Please provide a budget and we can try and help.
What material do you want the windows to be? Vinyl, clad wood, fiberglass
What color?
How will they operate?
avg size?

+1
Need to know what you are comfortable with in terms of materials.
The best choice for performance on a budget is going to be vinyl. It must be good vinyl but vinyl will give you the best budget performance.

Are you speaking of a materials quote in your budget or an installed price?
I don't think are are going to get anywhere near the $25K number on a 2-tone window with 70 openings.

I think you can get a great performance split finish casement and PW.
70 single unit ( < 90ui) for $25K.
At least I can in the Philly market.

At $350 a unit for a new window with and exterior finish, I guess you are referring to materials only anthony?

+1. Being that it is new construction, I'd assume that this is for material only, and I agree, that is doable (although it will be a GOOD price with grids and two-tone)... Definitely NOT installed at that price though.

Yep.
Based on new construction, no grids, no install.

You are right. This does not include installation. If it will lower the price then one color would be fine.

In most cases, one color will lower the price substantially.
Re: Prairie style vinyl window recommendation (new construction)
Then let's proceed with one color for inside and out for the window.

White is the least expensive, followed closely by tan/almond.
