Okna 500 or 800?

#1 Post by rzmwindow »

What's the major difference between these? I have been quoted ~$1K more for the 800 series ~20 windows? Is it worth the price?

Thanks,
Rich

the looks, the 800 has a routed in hidden fastener lift handle, the 500 has a continuous lift rail.
The 800 is .01 AI
The 500 is .02 AI
I like the lift handle the best. Different than most vinyl windows.

Rich,

$1,000 delta for the 20 window (i.e. $50 per window)?

That is exactly what we have as our upgrade charge and I think it is well worth it for both the performance and aesthetic reasons that anthony mentioned.

+1. The 500 is a great window, but the 800 is one of the top 3 products on the market. That upcharge has very little markup so I'd opt for the 800.
