Okna Double Pane or Triple Pane

#1 Post by tempo68 »

Is it worth the extra price to upgrade to the triple pane glass for the Okna 500 and Okna 700 or should I stick with double pane?

I'm on Long Island, NY. I've got a quote for double pane and triple pane. The difference in price between the two is about $2000. It's within my budget, but I wonder if its worth the extra cost.

You should get the most efficient window that you can afford.

How many units are there?

+1. The technology in making homes more energy efficient is moving along rapidly these days, with window and door oopenings being the weak point. Getting the most airtight, thermally efficicient windows that you can afford will be highly advisable. They will save money on energy bills (the payback is admittedly pretty long), the will increase comfort, and they will improve the value of your home.
