Re: HAYFIELD BRAND WINDOW QUESTION
Which line? Some of their offerings are pretty solid? Where are you located?
Re: HAYFIELD BRAND WINDOW QUESTION
Prior Lake Mn...
Suggested by a contractor as a good window for a decent price but I have no other info other than their website; I am hoping to find out from users what their opinion on quality would be. Do you have a suggestion as to which line is good?

Re: HAYFIELD BRAND WINDOW QUESTION
There double hungs use a pocket sill and are a little bulky, the casements are ok, with the exception of there wood veered ones.
For me I could install better products for less in there vinyl lines, there wood lines are competitive but i am not fond of them.
Since you are on a vinyl window forum I would assume you are looking for a vinyl window. In my opinion there are better products available for less money such as Soft-Lite, Sunrise, Polaris and to a lesser extent Gerkin and Walsh.

Thank you. I have seen the softlite brand and they look to be well made with good U values etc. Have not heard of the others you mentioned - are they available in MN?

Todd could probably give you a better idea on specific markets, but yes those are all available in some capacity in MN, as is Okna.neubee wrote:Thank you. Re: HAYFIELD BRAND WINDOW QUESTION
Okna has a dealer in the Twin Cities area.
Re: HAYFIELD BRAND WINDOW QUESTION
Good luck to anyone finding that dealer. Maybe a little hint?
Re: HAYFIELD BRAND WINDOW QUESTION
Called Okna, they claim to have no dealers in MN. Maybe
A Wisconsin dealer doing business here?

Lol, if it is, it is not I... at least not at this point in time.
I don't advocate for companies that I don't at least know a little bit about, so I'm reluctant to give a name. Email me if you want details. I don't believe that they have a very large presence there.

Not a fan of the pocket sill on the Hayfield.
