Wellington window and door

#1 Post by TOMMYD78 »

Well I found another new one. These windows are made in Minnesota and if you go to their website wellingtonwindow.com their vinyl window has a wood core. Is this a new kind of window and does anyone have any dealings with this brand of window?

I don't believe Wellington is even available outside Mpls, Chicago and Milwaukee. As a company they do their own manufacturing, sales and installation. They advertise pretty heavily here in the Twin Cities -- they have a local radio weather guy as a spokesman. (Which I always questioned -- I thought journalists weren't supposed to endorse companies.) The wood core makes them pretty easy to sell against. Pretty standard stuff, double pane, low e, intercept, nothing spectacular. Their high efficiency glass uses heat mirror, which is an entirely different topic of discussion on its own.

Go to this link for more on heat mirror. :)
