Window panels misaligned

#1 Post by JIlllzy »

Trying to figure out what the problem is in order to contact eh right person to get it fixed. These double-hung vinyl windows were installed about 6 years ago.

I have two windows side by side and the left one is not lining up with the lock.

The window shuts and locks, but you need to force it. I have to push up on the top panel and down on the bottom to get lock lined up. Before doing so, it looks like this (see image). As you can see the left side of the top panel seems to be lower than the right.

Off track? Warped frame? Any thoughts?

No image to see, but sounds like something is out of square

Could be any number of things but out of square is the most likely.

Can you post up a picture?

If its a lower end window, warping could be the issue.
