CDP#'s on NFRC site

#1 Post by Dittzy »

I am overwhelmed with window choices. I am trying to compare them purely by performance values. The only way I know to compare apples to apples. I have requested the CDP number while getting estimates and have not been able to receive the information for all of them. How can I obtain them if the contractor or sales rep does not have them and is not interested in getting them?

They aren't hard to track down but many salespeople aren't familiar with them.

Most times, you can call the manufacturer and they can get them for you.

The NFRC is full of a ton of testing data that is no longer in use unfortunately and each manufacturer has to list all of it.

IMO, if a sales rep is not interested in providing the information that you want, they don't care enough about earning your business... OR, they have more nefarious motives.

I'd also get documented structural data including air infiltration and DP which is not listed on NFRC.org
