That is a ridiculously low price. I don't know how they are doing it for that to be honest. That window is an awesome unit and by the time you figure in consumables and labor, probably costs darn near what they are charging you for it.

As long as they are in no danger of going out of business, I can't understand why it would be that low.

worse case scenario

if they do go out business..
will soft lite and/or provia factory, stand behind their warranty and send a crew to fix any problems?

Thanks

They will stand behind the warranty, which is product only. So no they will not send someone to take care of a dealers responsibility.

They product must also be installed properly to qualify for any warranty coverage. Assuming they are a good shop and do a good job, the windows and doors should be covered.

From our end as an installer proper installation is a given.
Now that mfg first instinct is to look for an installation problem is some understandable based on all the hacks out there.

I'd agree that the pricing is very low on industry leading products. I'd definitely do some homework on the company offering this. As the other pros mentioned, YES the manufacturer warranty would apply if these guys go out of business, HOWEVER, that does not include installation labor, and that warranty could be void if a poor job is done that does not meet manufacturer minimum standards.

I think I just figured out why these soft lite Elements windows are so cheap..

Here in Cincinnati there are two window factories

1.Champion
2.Gilkey

then
Soft Lite is a 4 hour drive to their factory

Seems like this could be one of the most competitive markets in the Nation!!

After living here for 30 years I think I have something to cheer about!!
a competitive window replacement market.

Let's face it
It hard to cheer for the Cincinnati Reds/Bengals!!

All the info you mentioned regarding the window should be on the nfrc sticker that comes with each window.
I highly doubt anyone is going to give you anything other than what you paid for, that would be very rare and something you shouldnt worry about.

Job was finished today.
Perfect installation!
Great techs honest, nice, courteous and professional!
Day and a half to complete the work.
Old windows out and new ones in 3 hours.
The rest of the time was cladding and calking.
Entire job exceeded my expectations in every aspect!

Nice to see that some companies today can be competitive
and do quality work like years ago!!

A+++

I know this forum will not allow the company to be mentioned by name,
which is a shame but is fair.

Once again I want to thank all of you that gave me guidance along the way.

Thanks for the follow up.

Post up some pictures if you can and feel free to email me the company name. I will see if the board operators will give them a mention.
