Vista Window Company - Replacement part

#1 Post by datamonkee »

I have a Vista Window Company Panorama Double Hung bottom pane that I need to replace. I am in Houston, TX and I don't know of any suppliers. Are there any generic panes that I can buy from Lowe's or Home Depot that will replace this piece?

Thanks.

I used to carry them from 2006-2011. I believe they did a 1" thick insulated glass unit. Standard glazing was regular steel Intercept and one could upgrade to Super Spacer if desired. A building supply center that deals with Simonton, Atrium, or ViWinco might be able to order a new insulated glass unit for you.

Looks like they finally offer some decent IG units.

Now if they could get a decent air leakage rating in the double hung they might be on to something

The Veka extrusion that was on the Panorama going back a few years had only 2-point sash weatherstripping along with a weeped irrigation sill. Very challenging with those two design features to button up the air performance. Welds were rough, however their DH units were about he easiest to raise and lower of anything I can recall.

I think that they recently went to Duralite and composite locks?
