Simonton VantagePointe Home Depot 6100 Series

#1 Post by mirrat »

I had 19 VantagePointe Home Depot 6100 Series windows replaced in Feb. 2016. I chose them because of Simonton's good ratings. An issue I've had since installation, however - condensation on outside of the top sash only in the back of my home and on the one side with windows. The condensation covers most of the glass, but there is a pretty even clear border with no condensation. Thought initially it was because of new install and/or cold weather, but this has happened through all 4 seasons so far in Northeast. Does anyone know what this is??? I was never provided with warranty info., so currently waiting for that to arrive from Home Depot. I'd like to be prepared with knowledge when I discuss with them...thanks for any info. anyone can provide!

Exterior condensation is a normal phenomenon. The lack of it at the edges would be to the thermal bridging of the frame/spacer.
