Hello, I have single hung vinyl windows. There wasn't a single screen installed on any of the windows when I purchased this house that was built in 2005. I'm not able to find a model number or brand name or manufacturer anywhere on them. I'm trying to find the best way to install the screens as the exterior of the window has an overhanging edge which reduces the size of the opening so that the screens won't fit. The only way that I have found is by completely removing the bottom sash. I'm not very comfortable doing this and was hoping there was a better way to do it.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cliff,
Any chance you can post up some pictures of the window and what we might be working with?
Thanks.

Re: Better way to install Window Screens
If there is no screen track on the exterior of the window then the screen goes in from the inside sides under the top "sash" and butts up againts the exterior frame. Sometimes they can be placed by just tilting the lower sash in.
